LUNA SLEEPERS

I’d like to have a Luna Sleeper living in my room

To tell me stories all night long, about the stars and moon

I’d like to have a Luna Sleeper living on my block

We’d swim, we’d fly, we’d loop the loop! We’d never have to walk.

I’d like to have a Luna Sleeper living in my town

We’d play above the tallest roofs and never once look down.

I’d like to have a Luna Sleeper living here on Earth.

But you can’t buy one anywhere, no matter what you’re worth.

A Luna Sleeper has to choose you

Then you’re friends forever.

You’ll never have a nicer friend.

Or one as brave and clever.

Someday you might be president

Or the richest of all men

But neither would be half as nice

As a Luna for a friend.

So sing your favorite lullabye

And if they fall asleep

You’ve made a friend forever more

A friend you’ll always keep.
